Welcome

My teaching philosophy is centered around finding and accepting one's own unique 'voice';  not getting hung up & discouraged  by a lack of technique or feeling uninspired. The solution that usually works best is painting (or cartooning), and a great way to make that happen is a painting (cartooning) class! My practical teaching methods come directly from what I've learned (and aspects I still struggle with) over many years of oil painting. 
I've also studied animation and worked in the animation industry, and for the past few years have taught a 'Cartoons, Comix, and Graphic Novels' class at The Croton-Cortlandt Center for the Arts in Cortlandt, NY.
